The Petroleum Ministry of India announced a significant drop in gasoline and diesel prices, reducing them by ₹2 per litre starting Friday, March 15, at 6 am.
This marks the first price adjustment across India since May 2022. Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to improving the welfare and convenience of Indians.
The new prices will see petrol in Delhi costing ₹94.72 per litre, while diesel will be priced at ₹87.62.
In Mumbai, petrol will cost ₹102.31 per litre, and diesel will be ₹92.27. This move is expected to benefit customers and reduce operating costs for millions of vehicles nationwide.
